ARISE/EFR partners with people with disabilities to advance independence and remove barriers through advocacy and services so every person has the freedom to pursue the life they choose. The agency, a designated Independent Living Center, provides support and advocacy for people with disabilities and a large volume of community-based services for people with developmental disabilities. Helio Health is dedicated to transforming the lives of those struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders. We offer a full spectrum of services to treat the person as a whole and not just their symptoms. Mothers and Children in Crisis, Inc. (MCC) is a nonprofit organization in the human services sector based in Onondaga County, New York, working in partnership with the Problem Solving Courts in Syracuse. MCC is dedicated to supporting mothers and their children experiencing crisis, including homelessness, trauma and substance use challenges. MCC provides advocacy, resource coordination, and community-based programs while working to develop a trauma-informed residential treatment center with integrated childcare and early childhood support. Sage Upstate is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ people as they age in Central New York (Cayuga, Cortland, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Madison and Jefferson Counties) by providing programs that aim to improve health and reduce isolation.
